Russell Wilson is on the second biggest quarterback contract in the NFL, only behind Aaron Rodgers. With a $245 million four-year extension, when he arrived in Denver last season, and many record-breaking deals from his Seahawks days, Wilson has accumulated a whopping net worth over the years. But where does all the money go?

Formerly the highest-paid NFL player after his $140 million 4-year extension in 2019, Russell Wilson ranked #46 on the Forbes list of The World’s Highest-Paid Athletes in 2022. And understandably, the quarterback has splashed some of his hard-earned cash on himself and his loved ones.

Wilson began his career in Seattle after being drafted 75th overall. And with a $3 million/4-year rookie contract, he had to prove himself before the real money swept in. And that he did. Winning the Pepsi Rookie of the Year, and the Super Bowl in 2014, clearly warranted a double-digit signing for Danger Russ. And the 4-year $87.6 million extension was just that. Another Super Bowl appearance, 7 Pro Bowl selections, and multiple brand endorsements later, Wilson’s net worth stands at nearly $165 million.

In 2015, the then-Seahawks QB splurged around $6.7 million on an extravagant 10,700 square-foot waterfront mansion in Bellevue, Washington. However, Wilson had to put the 7-bedroom monstrosity on Lake Washington for sale when it was time to move to Denver. And Russ listed it at $28 million. After that, the quarterback and his singer-songwriter wife, Ciara, set the record for the most expensive home bought in Denver, when the couple paid around $25 million for their 20,000-square-foot Colorado mansion.

Russell Wilson likes to ride high. And more than fiery sports cars, the Denver Broncos No 3 has a knack for the traditional. Besides his $135,000 customized Mercedes Benz G Class, it’s mostly vintage in the Wilson garage.

Russ spent $55,000 on a Rolls Royce Corniche, and $50,000 on an MG A 1600 Roadster. However, keeping his family in mind, the favorite Wilson household vehicle has to be the Rolls Royce Cullinan, worth $325,000. Wilson also gifted Ciara a Merc G Class when he got one for himself.

Wilson is also a giver and a saver

Russell Wilson has also enjoyed commercial deals with some of the biggest brands in the world, like Amazon, Microsoft, Alaska Air Group, Duracell, and Braun, to name a few. But he doesn’t just splurge. Wilson has built most of his huge net worth from smart investment choices. He also owns his own production and brand management company, West2East Empire, and also launched his apparel line, GoodMan Brand, last year.

And Russell likes to put that money to good use. For mother’s day, he gifted his mother a house.

Wilson is also involved with several charities. But there were a few controversies regarding the proceeds coming out of these charities last year. However, with a new head coach to take charge of the Denver ship, Danger Russ will try to get that second Super Bowl and justify his huge contract.
