The Miami Dolphins have one of the most exceptional-looking stadiums. But in the Week 6 game against the Minnesota Vikings, the home stadium had an astonishing home advantage. It brings out unusual questions about the facility’s build. The NFL Universe was also in utter disbelief to witness the extraordinary phenomenon.

It was a typical warm Florida afternoon, with temperatures in the mid-80s and humidity about 60% in Miami. The Hard Rock Stadium hosted the Dolphins-Vikings Week 6 game. Because of the stadium’s redesign, the Minnesota players had to roast in the scorching sun on their sidelines. However, the Miami athletes got to stay in the shadow.

What a weird advantage!

The FOX broadcast highlighted the thermometers on both sidelines. While it’s a balmy 90 degrees on the Miami side, it is roughly 124 degrees for Minnesota athletes. The temperature under the same roof had a shocking 34 degrees.

The Dolphins have a daytime advantage for their home games. They are acclimated to the Miami heat but get a shady lead while in town. The NFL Universe also called out the franchise over the unusual phenomenon.

Miami Dolphins lose backup QB to injury

Despite the exceptional home-field advantage, the Miami Dolphins could not make the sweep. With Tua Tagovailoa out of the scene, backup QB Skylar Thompson filled in. However, he departed the game in the first half with a thumb injury after colliding with a Vikings player’s helmet.

Teddy Bridgewater took over for Thompson, but he couldn’t help Miami capture their third game in a row after a 3-0 opening. He went 23/34 with 329 yards, two INTs, and two touchdowns. It was the fourth week a franchise QB got hurt during the play, which began with Tagovailoa. Miami started with a bang, but they are now facing a major setback.
