Mahomes country knows how cheeky the Chiefs’ QB is when it comes to playing around rules. In a recent adventure, Patrick Mahomes stars in a beer ad which by the NFL rules is prohibited. But how did the QB appear in one if players aren’t allowed to star in beer ads? Well, it was the brainchild of Coors Light and it played out brilliantly.

Both Mahomes and Coors Light find a way around this minute detail of not staring in a beer commercial. The ad immediately recognizes the fact that Mahomes cannot endorse the alcoholic product. Instead, the ad introduces a flashlight in a bid to mock the rule and let Mahomes appear in the ad without any additional hassle.

Moreover, the company was proactive in its marketing technique. Coors Light used provocative colors and words to refer to the alcoholic beverage without actually making a direct reference to the product. How clever, isn’t it?

It uses the lines, “high-quality steel, so it feels as cold as the Rocky Mountains” while referring to the flashlight. Mahomes looks like he doesn’t know what he is doing in the ad, but he is well aware of it. A clever way to make some extra money while not violating any NFL rules.
