When the NFL witnessed a 113-point game
It was a day of high drama. On November 27, 1966, Washington Redskins downed New York Giants 72-41 in a swashbuckling clash. This became the highest combined point total in NFL history. Meanwhile, the Washington-based team also achieved the record for most points in a regular season by a single team.

Clearly not a good matchup. Didn’t the coaches know this? Games like these shouldn’t even be scheduled. You put the players at risk of getting hurt and shame on IMG for running up the score like that. That’s poor sportsmanship IMO.

Interestingly, it is Ascender’s seventh successive win after losing the season opener against Miami Central. In the last four games, IMG has scored 254 points and conceded zero, making them one of the most dominant teams in the league. Currently ranked 12, they will take on the No.2 team in the country, St Frances Academy next week. NFL legends like Tom Brady loves games with high scores. However, the future HOF-er would not be excited about a score as high as 96-0.
