Continuing their drill of happy moments, the Cowboys linebacker Micah Parson is making waves in the NFL landscape for his promising gameplay. Having played his rookie season last year, Parsons is already being compared with the league’s veterans. 

Former defensive end and 3-time Defensive Player of the Year winner, JJ Watt hailed Parsons for his gameplay. After his dominance on the gridiron, Parsons is all set to compete with Watt’s younger brother TJ Watt.

Micah Parsons is in a dominating mode

JJ Watt appeared on the “Pat McAfee Show” where he shared his thoughts on Parsons gameplay. Pat McAfee shared a video clip of his show on his Twitter account where Watt is appreciating Parsons for the effort he gives for every single play of every single game.

Watt shared, “Micah Parsons gives 100% effort on every single play of every single game.” He further added, “He’s so good because of his Relentless effort because of the energy, because he never stops going. He’s an unbelievable player and on top of all that he has the athleticism, and he has the freak ability to move, and to bend, and to turn Corners. It was a special player man.

However, it’s JJ Watt’s younger brother TJ Watt who is clashing with Parson with his stats. After winning defensive rookie on the year in the 2021 season, Parson is all set to surpass veteran TJ Watt.

TJ Watt became the defensive player of the year in 2021, the same year when Parsons was elected as defensive rookie. Rolling back to the 2023 season, both these linebackers are on a competitive edge to become the DPOY of the 2023 season. With just two games in the season, Watt has four sacks, two forced fumbles, and a touchdown to his name. Moreover, Watt lodged a sack record of 81 1/2  in the game against the Cleveland Browns.

Despite his stamping records, Parsons is trailing the veteran TJ Watt with his stats. Till now in the 2023 season, Watt has 4 sacks and Parsons has 3 sacks to his name.
