Edelman also hinted he was a little jealous that his old friend Brady did not reach out to him about the position. The 33-year-old former Patriots star appeared on ‘Inside the NFL’ show.

Julian Edelman bets big against Tom Brady 

The former Patriots star played with the future HOF-er for several seasons. While talking in the show, he laughingly discussed the new signing. “I don’t wanna talk about this. They just signed Cole Beasley. I didn’t get a call. I bet against Brady and then he signs Cole Beasley,” Edelman remarked. 

Edelman announced his retirement in 2021. However, he later said if he ever returns to NFL, he would never play for any other team other than the Patriots. 

The experienced campaigner spent 12 years at Patriots. It remains the only team with which he played in the NFL. The California-born star also won three Super Bowls with TB12’s former team.
