Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen cleared the air around a multitude of topics in her latest candid interview with Vanity Fair. Sitting from Costa Rica, Tom Brady‘s ex-wife finally opened up about post-divorce life and making a return to the big stage in fashion. However, one thing recurringly surfaced throughout the entire interview. For Gisele, the kids are everything. Bündchen talked about them every chance she got, showing that despite the divorce, the priority remains intact. In fact, the couple’s divorce was tailored to suit the kids’ needs.

Brady and Bündchen ended their 13-year marriage in October, last year, after a year of much-publicized drama. However, the transition from one happy family to living with two separate parents couldn’t have been smoother for 13-year-old Benjamin and 10-year-old Vivian Lake.

How Gisele Bündchen stands apart as a parent

Ever since Brady’s playing days for New England Patriots, Gisele has been the quintessential mother to their two children. Gisele molded their upbringing with her very hands, especially since TB12 was away a lot, winning those seven Super Bowl rings.

Going against her quarterback husband and insisting on a water birth for her kids, Gisele went the extra mile. Whatever was best for them. “My world was them. Do you know how grateful I am that I got that time for myself? I breastfed my kids until they were almost two years old. And I was taking them to school every day. I was making them breakfast, lunch. I was there,” she told Vanity Fair correspondent Michelle Ruiz.

During their divorce settlements, Brady and Gisele agreed on a joint custodial co-parenting plan to help their kids adjust. The couple also built their new Miami residences to help the kids transition. But how did Gisele go from being one of the biggest and richest supermodels in the world to the suburban mother of two with the NFL quarterback husband?

It was another child that first made Gisele feel the blessings of motherhood

Gisele Bündchen amassed over $400 million in net worth over her fashion career. She took a brief decade-long pause in the middle to ensure a flawless upbringing for her children. However, Gisele realized she was ready to be a mother only after meeting Tom Brady’s son from his previous relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan, Jack.

Jack came into our lives and I felt so blessed and it kind of awakened in me this desire of being a mom,” she said about the 15-year-old future quarterback of the family. Jack is the only one following Tom’s footsteps, as he is on the way to his father’s alma mater, the University of Michigan. Benny and Vivian have taken to Gisele’s interests more. After his final retirement from Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Brady recently took the kids on a snow trip, something that Benjamin loves, his passion being skiing.

Vivian wants to emulate her mother’s equestrian skills after Gisele imbibed the horse-riding bug in her daughter. Gisele also took her kids on trips to Costa Rica and Brazil after her divorce. And no matter how busy the 42-year-old supermodel gets, Bündchen will always find time in her schedule for her children.
