“I Call Him My Bonus Child”: Gisele Bündchen, Who Hates the Word Step-Mom, Had an Equally Awkward Way of Describing Tom Brady’s Son With His Ex Bridget Moynahan

The former runway supermodel Gisele Bündchen has a fairytale of life. Although her relationship with her husband came to an unfortunate end, her relationship with her children has been wholesome. Her oldest son, John (Jack) whom Tom Brady had with his ex-girlfriend. The supermodel has previously shared with fans on her social media that she does not like to be called a ‘stepmom.’ Instead, prefers a peculiar word.

In 2006, the former Victoria’s Secret Angel went on a blind date. There, she met her future husband, Tom Brady. After tying the knot in 2009, she went on to have two children, Vivian Lake and Benjamin Rein, with Tampa Tom. However, before she had children of her own, she became a “bonus mom” to the child her star QB husband had with his previous girlfriend.

When the former pair started dating in 2006, they were made aware of unexpected news about Bridget Moynahan’s pregnancy. Understandably, this was an extraordinary situation to be in. A situation that could have drifted the couple apart. But thankfully for them, the arrival of John Edward only brought happiness to the lives of Bündchen and Brady.

In an intimate interview, she confessed how the circumstance was not ideal. Nothing could have prepared the three individuals. But she said, “But I’m so grateful for [Bridget]. I know this was hard, but I couldn’t imagine my life without [Jack]. I call him my bonus child.” She absolutely fell in love with the little boy who then made her want to start a family.

After the seven-time Super Bowl-winning QB became a father, he co-parented his oldest son with the Blue Blood actress, Bridget Moynahan. Although the former NFL power couple decided to have to wait for ten years before starting a family, the baby boy changed her mind.

As the runway beauty started spending time with her “bonus child,” she thought of giving him a sibling closer in age. Since then, he has had Vivian and Benjamin as his bonus siblings.

Now that Brady and Bündchen are going through with the divorce, it is to be wondered what will happen to the kids. Although, both parties admit the kids would be their priority.
