Aaron Rodgers knows how to quiet his mind and enjoy the present moment, no matter what he’s doing. He shared his meditation secrets with Men’s Health in December 2022. Future HOF-er Aaron said he can meditate by doing simple chores, like washing dishes. He loves this activity because it doesn’t let Aaron’s mind wander to other things; he just stays in the zone.

That’s not all, interestingly, QB1 also meditates by relaxing on his couch in the sunroom, closing his eyes, and turning off his phone so he can tune out the noise and tune in to his inner peace. Aaron Rodgers follows a technique called ‘Transcendental Meditation’, which helps him calm his thoughts and feel more serene. Meditation helps him cope with stress, pay attention to his teammates, and live in the now.

Aaron Rodgers’ mindful dishwashing routine

In a Men’s Health interview from last year, the famous Aaron Rodgers revealed his secret to meditation, ‘washing dishes’. He said he loves this simple chore because it helps him clear his mind and focus on the present moment. He doesn’t think meditation has to be complicated or mystical; he can reach a Zen state by just scrubbing and rinsing.

“It’s one of my favorite activities in the world,” he says. “I feel like I can go into a meditative space doing the dishes.”

But that’s not the only way he meditates. Sometimes, Rodgers likes to relax on his couch in the sunroom, listening to soothing instrumental music and closing his eyes. “I can also get it with an instrumental soundtrack going on, just sitting on my couch in the sunroom, without my phone on, just my eyes closed.” He makes sure to turn off his phone so nothing can interrupt his tranquility.

“Then I can also go into it, you know, practicing some Transcendental Meditation. It’s really just about how I can calm my mind so it’s not racing.” The leader of the Jets’ Offense also practices Transcendental Meditation, a technique that helps Rodgers calm his thoughts and feel more peaceful.

Controversy over Rodgers’ first forearm Tattoo

When Rodgers got his forearm tattoo, it became a topic of conversation for many people on social media and TV.  Analyst, Skip Bayless referred to the tattoo as a “middle-aged-crazy tattoo.” However, to Rodgers, the tattoo was very important and meaningful. It took four and a half hours for one of the best tattoo artists in the world to create this amazing and detailed design. Aaron revealed his new design on his Instagram account on July 6, 2022.

The tattoo includes representations of his two godsons; they are shown as constellations of their astrological signs with calm and roaring lions depicted in the tattoo. Rodgers points out that an eagle in the tattoo symbolizes air and holds the balance of fire and air. “And this is the eagle that holds the balance of fire and air. And in this case, the eagle represents air.” – Aaron Rodgers.

He also mentions that other elements like water and earth are represented in the design, making it a symbol of the entire universe. Although there are even deeper meanings to some parts of the tattoo, Rodgers prefers not to reveal them and wants people to use their imaginations to interpret those aspects.
