Los Angeles Rams CB Jalen Ramsey did make interesting comments on Rob Gronkowski during his appearance on The Rich Eisen Show. The 5-time Pro Bowl CB did castigate the Buccaneers TE for his below-par acting in TV commercials. The host, Rich Eisen, was always constantly fishing for some really controversial comments from Ramsey about his upcoming opponents.

Ramsey was really in good spirits during his appearance on the show, did indulge in minor trash talking. The 3-time All-Pro defensive juggernaut from the Rams was working on a list with Eisen. The list only did contain Buccaneers players and it was when both came to Gronk that Ramsey did have something to say.

Following Eisen calling Gronk’s name, Jalen states, “Let’s say that I don’t like his commercials, how’s that one? ” Eisen also affirmatively did agree with his assessment. Though both agree that he is a bad actor, Ramsey does jokingly points out that Gronk is getting more and more commercials.

Despite all the funny comments that both did poke at Gronk, they both realize that he is a great athlete on the field. Ramsey does realize and understand the magnitude of a challenge that someone with Gronk’s physicality brings onto a football field. The former Jacksonville CB Ramsey has previously been on a losing side against the Brady-Gronk combination. The year was 2017 when Jaguars’ Ramsey did lose to the Patriots during the AFC Championship game meeting.

Ramsey does indeed have some memories of that loss which will be motivation for him on Monday. He will be facing an injury-ridden Buccaneers team but with only the Brady and Gronk combination a certainty.  But this outing could have a different outcome than the one in 2016 with just as much at stake.

But equally, it is the postseason testing grounds for the Rams and Ramsey. They can only perform as well as the opposition that comes before them. The Divisional Round game on Monday will be their opportunity to set down the marker. The takedown of the Brady-Gronk combination and their team will be the most significant sign of Super Bowl ambitions this season.
