Unlike his professional career, Travis Kelce is not as blessed when it comes to his love life. Months after his split, Kelce’s ex-girlfriend recently took to Instagram to announce a proud declaration, however, not everything went as planned.

In the story Nicole seemed overtly proud of her putting together of some DIY accessories around the house and captioned it with, “I don’t need a man“. However, hilarity ensued as Nicole happened to lock herself out of her apartment and had to seek help. Fortunately, her neighbor was there to rescue the day. While the exact reason behind Kayla Nicole and Travis Kelce’s breakup has not been pinpointed yet, there have several allegations levied against the two, and some of these do seem outlandish.

Kelce too tight with money?

Back in 2017, Kayla Nicole and Travis Kelce started dating. The couple initially met through Instagram, and while Kelce kept liking every post for her, the two didn’t really share a conversation. Being as independent as she is Nicole took the initiative and soon the former love birds kicked it off. Despite their bond, the couple had an on-and-off relationship. The first breakup happened in 2020, and infidelity on Nicole’s part was suspected to be the reason. However, both Kelce and Nicole denied these rumors and soon got back together. Despite them making up, once again the couple decided to split up in 2022. And this time, Kelce was alluded to be at fault. According to a report by Barstool Sports, Travis Kelce made Kayla Nicole pay for her half of everything.

However, Kelce was quick to shut down these rumors as he shared on the Pivot Podcast, “I would never say that I was supporting her. She had a very financially stable life and what she was doing in her career. But you’ve got to be crazy if you’d think I would never helped or gave her a couple thousand to grab some food or she gave me some money to go get some food…. we were in a relationship for five years. ” Since then, Kelce has often times described himself as ‘single’, while Nicole still maintains a healthy relationship with the wife Kelce’s teammate Patrick Mahomes. With Kelce and Nicole gone their separate ways fans were certainly left disappointed, but maybe the two will reconcile again.
