However, Aaron Rodgers believes, the team wasn’t performing the way it should have been in the past few weeks. The quarterback vocalized his expectations ahead of his first Sunday’s clash against the New York Giants.

The quarterback wants to make sure that he gives a stellar performance in front of a foreign crowd in London. This will be the first regular-season international game of the Packers. Hopes are quite high among the fans looking at the past records of Aaron Rodgers, who shined in the mid-seasons of the league every year.

Earlier, the passer mentioned that playing half of the game wasn’t a sustainable approach to winning games in a bigger league like the NFL. The players need to put on more offers to exhibit their consistency.

However, this quote was misinterpreted by the fans, who called out the passer for going hard on himself. While speaking to the reporters in the recent interaction, the quarterback reiterated the issue. He claimed that the fans were not looking at the bigger picture.

“Comments get taken out of context, and then they get posted as if that was the entire quote,” Rodgers said. “That was not the quote. The quote was talking about a certain way of playing. I was referring to the fact that we haven’t put together a four-quarter game. I don’t think playing half a game well is sustainable to win football games in this league every single week.” he added to his statements.

Indeed a fragile O-line and young receiver corps have been proving a matter of concern for the quarterback. Although they fared well in the last three games, Rodgers feels more synchronization is essential to win big games.

Rodgers admitted that his performance this season was not living up to the expectations. It was the lack of accuracy that made him lose in Week 1. Moreover, he vowed not to change his style of play but rather to work on his team effort.

“I’ve got to play the same way,” Rodgers told reporters. “I don’t play the way I played in 2011, [but] I’ve got to play on time, and guys gotta get open, so no, I’m not gonna change the way I play.”

“I have to realize, who’s out there, who we’re throwing to, and how we’re gonna actually make some hay and score some points,” he added to the explanation.
