Jalen Ramsey talks about his Madden rating
Every year when the Madden ratings come out, players and fans often get divided into two spheres. One thinks that the ratings are accurate. With the cynics on the other hand.
Well, we would leave the debate to those who are concerned with them. But one thing is for sure. With the release of the Madden’21 ratings, similar controversies have come to notice.

Although Ramsey has ranked just below the top-most cornerback, he is not really bothered about the ratings. Recently, ‘The Checkdown’ shared a photo of the 25-year old quarterback on Instagram, “I edit myself to the 99 club every year anyways.” Followed by two laugh emoticons.

Ramsey doesn’t seem quite interested in the rating that Madden allocated for him. Instead, he prefers to prove a point on the field, where it matters the most. He has done particularly well across all categories related to his position of play.

He has also received the sixth-best play recognition rating (91) along with the second-best man coverage rating (95). The Los Angeles Rams’ cornerback has also emerged equally good in zone coverage with a 95.
So, technically, there’s no real reason for Ramsey to be disappointed. But it seems like he wants to see himself in the rather exclusive and highly elusive 99 OVR club.
Since he couldn’t make it to that score in any of the segments, maybe he is not pleased. As a result, he indicated that he wants to outperform everyone on the field.

In terms of the fastest cornerbacks, Ramsey couldn’t make it to the top 10. He received a 91 in this particular segment while Carolina Panthers’ Donte Jackson took the crown with a 96 speed rating. Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward solidifies the top two with a 95.
