Patrick Mahomes has led the Kansas City Chiefs to a 5th straight AFC Championship game after another MVP-calibre season. Mahomes had to shoulder through a potential season-ending injury as the Chiefs edged past the Jacksonville Jaguars. However, Mahomes gave a lot of credit for his success to his wife, Brittany.

Brittany Mahomes has been manning the Mahomes household as the quarterback prepares for a shot at the Lombardi Trophy. This will be his second ring. And Patrick can’t help but appreciate his wife’s contributions. The Mahomes have grown from a family of two to four in the last two years, and the hectic schedule has just gotten busier for Brittany.

The high school sweethearts are proud parents of two children, Skye and Bronze. Sterling Skye Mahomes is about to be two years old. However, the bulk of the schedule is taken up by the youngest in the house. Pat and Brittany welcomed newborn son Patrick Lavon Mahomes III aka Bronze this year during Thanksgiving.

Mahomes has been busy recovering from last week’s high ankle sprain, and most of his time is spent away from home in practice or rehab. “When I’m at the house, it’s usually studying or going to sleep. I had to take Brittany with me a couple of places so that I can be with the kids,” Mahomes said in the press conference before Sunday’s AFC title matchup.

Patrick is taking the high road in the trash-talking, unlike Brittany

Patrick Mahomes doesn’t want to indulge in any Cincinnati Bengals trash talk before their AFC title matchup. However, former professional soccer star wife Brittany Lynne Mahomes didn’t stay mum when the Mayor of Cincinnati Aftab Pureval attempted to roast her husband. Pureval implied in a joking yet competitive manner that Bengals QB Joe Burrow is Patrick Mahomes’ ‘daddy’, and that someone should get the paternity test done. Brittany shouted back on Twitter, “Weak and embarrassing.”

However, the Chiefs QB and Super Bowl 2020 MVP wanted the talking to happen on the field. And Patrick’s trash talk? Good football on Sunday.

“We just go out there and play football. You can talk throughout the week, but at the end of the day it’s a football game, and you have to go out there and play,” Mahomes added in the presser.
