Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he didn’t see anything that leads to the ouster of Commanders’ owner Dan Snyder. The experienced campaigner said these words ahead of the owners’ meeting, which happened on Tuesday. Jones added he has not heard of the owners wanting to remove Snyder for his remarks.

Earlier, there were talks that there are 24 votes in favor of removing Snyder. “I hear the speculation. But that’s all I hear. That’s not supported by tangible facts. Those are being presented and being looked at,” Jones said. However, the Snyder issue was not discussed in the Manhattan meeting. It was not part of the agenda.

Jerry Jones speaks about his relationship with Snyder

The Cowboys owner is one of the most experienced names in the NFL. Snyder bought the Washington-based team in 1999. The duo became favorite allies in the first few seasons. They sat next to each other at the NFL meetings. Their friendship grew as the years progressed.

This off-field friendship never affected the game, and they stood behind each other on many issues. “I’ve got a long relationship with Dan,” Jones said on 105.3 The Fan. “It’s certainly a competitive one on the field and one that is a part of the NFL.” As per Jones, he has found no evidence to disbelieve his friend, and hence he has taken a supportive stand. However, the allegations leveled by Snyder against the owners and commissioner Roger Goodell have turned the spotlight on the meeting.
