Travis Kelce is one of the biggest personalities in all of football. Kelce has been hailed by many, including himself, as one of the greatest TEs to ever lace up in the NFL. While Kelce has been dominant on the gridiron, his endeavors outside have also been well chronicled, especially on the 18-holes of a Golf Course. But on his latest podcast, Kelce brought up a recent blemish to his nearly perfect track record.

Kelce did confirm that the incident didn’t cause any major injuries, but the blunder caught him off guard. This certainly isn’t the first instance of a fan getting caught unaware on the course with athletes from other sports. Kelce recalled Bills QB Josh Allen’s performance at Capital One’s ‘The Match’ last year, which would see many stray balls veer towards the viewer sections.  Barkley too, admitted to having committed the same blunder on the course, but that wouldn’t be the only run-in that Charles Barkley has had with sports fans.

Remembering Chuck’s infamous ‘spit’ game

Charles Barkley has had one of the most remarkable careers in basketball, earning himself an induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame. But in 1991, the young and angsty Barkley committed one of his biggest blunders on the court. After suffering from sledging and fans throwing slurs at Barkley in a game against the New Jersey Nets, The Chuckster had had enough.

In a now infamous incident, Barkley would spit at a fan chanting slurs at him, but would accidentally end up missing his target and hitting a young girl instead. While Barkley has come a long way since those days, the incident would cause the 11x All-Star to change himself going forward. As for Kelce’s incident, the Super Bowl Champ certainly isn’t phased as he prepares for the latest edition of Capital One’s ‘The Match’ on 29th June 2023. We can’t wait to tune in!
