The Week 2 games have already begun, with the Chiefs posting their second victory of the 2022 season on Thursday. The nail-biting face-off witnessed a Superman Patrick Mahomes scrambling all over the field and slaying the Chargers 27-24 by the end of the final whistle. Fans were in awe watching Mahomes updating his record to 2-0 despite the Offense not living up to the expectations.
Thursday Night Football witnessed a mighty young defense of Chiefs taking on the Justin Herbert-led Chargers. Not only did they win, but made sure to outplay the opponents with a tactical approach. The Chargers were the ones who suffered the most.

Quarterback Justin Herbert got injured, and his availability for the upcoming games has become a matter of concern. Moreover, losing four interceptions from Mahomes has added to their pile of mistakes. While speaking to the press, Mahomes affirmed that it was the defense that helped them hang throughout the game.
With minimal injuries, they were able to convert your game. “We just hung around. I think that’s the biggest thing, the defense kept us in the game,” Mahomes said to the reporters.
“Offense, I mean, we didn’t play our best football, and I think the defense that was huge for them to keep us in that game, make some plays, get points on the board, and then just give us a chance and I think it was a young defense like that, to see that this early in the season. I think that’s gonna carry us the rest of the way,” he added.
Indeed, it was a great victory for the clan. Mahomes contributed with two touchdown passes deep down the field, with receivers like Justin Watson connecting the 41-yard bullet toward the end zone.
