Breakups can be tough. We know it, you know it, but above all perhaps, Gisele Bündchen knows it. We all know about her divorce from Tom Brady last year (would we even be true football fans if we didn’t?) But Tom wasn’t Gisele’s first fling with heartbreak. In fact, just a year before meeting Brady, the Supermodel was left devastated.
Bündchen has been a staple in the modeling industry since practically the dawn of humankind. Ever since the age of 13, she spent nearly every day working and becoming great at her craft. But although this journey earned her a livelihood and established her personal connections, her entire world was toppled over in 2005.

The infamous ‘Hollywood Breakup’ of Gisele Bündchen
When all seemed right for Gisele, her life was thrown into a storm when she broke up with her boyfriend, Hollywood Star Leonardo DiCaprio. For well over a year, Gisele had to embrace herself to recuperate from her breakup. Until finally, she found the next step in her life, her true path. And it all came through a blind date, as per ‘Vanity Fair’.
Not just any blind date for Gisele, however. Her friend Ed Razek set up Bündchen on a blind date of his choice. On the other end of the date? None other than Tom Brady himself! For Bündchen, the moment she saw the 6”4’ hunk, she was sold. “I Knew Right Away”, Bündchen thought to herself. The story between Gisele and Brady is (almost) the stuff of fairytales – until it finally ended last year. Unfortunately, that’s just how life works in the real world.
Gisele and Tom’s Day of Reckoning
Throughout their time together, Bündchen and Brady are bound to have shared quite a few crucial deciding moments within their relationship. But none, perhaps, can rival the actual day of reckoning that hit their relationship within weeks of dating. The day Tom told Gisele that his ex-girlfriend was pregnant.

That should have spelled doom for the most iconic couple of the last decade. But somehow, through a moment of blind faith, the couple discovered their future together. Gisele accepted Brady’s first child, Jack, as her own. Ever since, the couple’s fairytale bloomed, until the roses in their relationship finally wilted over the course of their decade and a half together.
