Recently, Green Bay Packers veteran Aaron Rodgers opened up about some of his teammates. Among them, he spoke about 25-year-old wide-receiver, Marquez Valdes-Scantling.

Valdes-Scantling is a very quick runner and a valuable asset for the Packers. In a 40 yard dash, he managed to outpace the likes of Brandin Cooks, Odell Beckham, and Stefon Diggs. He clocked in a time of 4.37, and he also holds the fastest 40-yard dash at the wide receiver position for the Green Bay Packers.

During the 2019 offseason, quarterback Aaron Rodgers said, “I’m dialing in his speed. He’s so damn fast. He had one, a super deep corner today, into the wind, and I ran out of arm on that one, and I told him I wasn’t going to let that happen again, and then I overthrew him. We’ll get that dialed in.”

The Green Bay Packers Player has impressed Aaron Rodgers

As per Rodgers’ recent comments, “MVS is a guy who I have a ton of confidence in. I really feel like, if he can continue to grow, he can really add to our football team. I look for him to make big strides.”

Clearly, the 25-year-old is brimming with immense talent. Unfortunately, he has had very few chances to unleash his talents on the field. Valdes-Scantling is now in his third season with the Green Bay Packers. The youngster is eager to get onto the field and prove his mettle.

Packer fans would be unwise to write him off, and they should allow him to develop in the Packers’ new system. It is important is for him to get time to compete and come into his own. Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst has been quite supportive of Valdes-Scantling.

However, he urged him to step up this coming season. Speaking about the wide receivers, Gutekunst admitted that he usually gives them at least three years to get to grips.
