The order comes as a relief for Mixon, who has his place on the Bengals roster in question. The Bengals need to extend QB Joe Burrow‘s contract and are looking to create space in the salary cap. But what were the charges against the running back?

The allegations against Mixon
Joe Mixon allegedly pointed a gun at a woman last month in downtown Cincinnati, a day before their divisional playoff clash against the Buffalo Bills. Authorities charged Mixon with a misdemeanor aggravated menacing charge. The Bengals acknowledged the charges and said that they are investigating the situation.
“The club is investigating the situation and will not comment further at this time,” the statement said.
Mixon’s mother reacted to the charges and vehemently defended her son in the situation. She maintained that Mixon didn’t do anything and termed the victim money hungry. Now that the situation has evolved in the RB’s favor, it will be interesting to see what the Bengals do.
Mixon joined the Bengals as a second-round draft pick in 2017. The University of Oklahoma alumni featured in the Pro Bowl last season and also played in the Super Bowl LVI. What does the future hold for Mixon?
