“I Rolled Up the Letter”: Years Before Divorce, Tom Brady’s Ex-Wife Gisele Bündchen Saved Her 13-Year Marital Relationship With Ex-Husband With a Positive Gesture

When they were together, Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady were a power couple. Both of them were at the top of their fields. While the legendary quarterback was dominating the NFL with the New England Patriots, Bündchen was the biggest name in the fashion industry. Gisele Bündchen loves hand-written things, and she would rather do that than send impulsive emails or texts. That is exactly what she did when her relationship with Tom Brady once hit a speed bump. This was years before their eventual divorce and at that time, the supermodel’s positive gesture helped save the relationship. After a fight, she decided to write a letter to Brady, expressing what she felt. And she wrote it by hand.

“The words in front of me felt honest and intense-crazy-intense, actually. Just writing them down made me feel a hundred times better. In the end, I never sent the letter. I let a day go by. Then I read what I’d written a few more times. That night, I rolled up the letter and burned it. It was as if by writing the letter, my turmoil had left me and gone into my writing hand, onto the sheet of paper-and then the fire burned it all away,” Bündchen recalled in her memoir.

The supermodel did write a letter but did not send it to Brady. After she burned the letter, Bündchen sent Brady a brief email explaining her position. And the very next day, the couple resolved their differences after having a chat about the issue. A great way to fix problems that arise between every couple.

The eventual divorce 

Gisele Bündchen did save her relationship then but circumstances led to her divorce from Tom Brady last year. The couple split up and are now on their separate paths. Many believed that Brady’s decision to continue playing for Tampa Bay Buccaneers after initially retiring in early 2022 had something to do with it. But Bündchen refuted those claims in a recent interview.

The supermodel still has nothing but love for her ex-husband. In the same interview, she said that she wants all his dreams to come true. That surely means that there are no hard feelings between Brady and Bündchen. The couple is still raising their children together.
