Patrick Mahomes really turned up for the Kansas City Chiefs against the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday. He mostly does against AFC West opponents anyway, doesn’t he? Mahomes and Kelce scripted a dramatic 30-29 Chiefs win over the Raiders.


The QB threw 4 Touchdown passes and TE Travis Kelce put up a show with an identical number of TD receives as the Chiefs came back in the second half to win the game.

Patrick Mahomes has always loved playing against opponents from AFC West. He has gone 23-3 against teams from that division. He also has a 13-0 record against teams from AFC West on the road. Talk about dominance.

The Raiders looked in control during the first half and went in with a 20-10 lead at halftime. But when you have Patrick Mahomes in your lineup, you can never be counted out. The TE Travis Kelce aided the Grim Reaper with a superb performance. Together they turned the game on its head for the Chiefs. In the end, the game was decided by a single point.

The game was a close affair and every little incident was scrutinized by eagle-eyed fans. Fans from both sides questioned the officiation. The biggest incident was the apparent holding of Raiders Wide Receiver Davante Adams by Chiefs defender Hunter Renfrow. Davante also seemed upset over an out-of-bounds call against him a play earlier.

A fan said the Chiefs got lucky.

Davante Adams pushed a cameraperson after the game, for which he apologized later.

“Sorry to the guy I pushed over after the game. Obviously very frustrated at the way the game ended and when he ran in front of me as I exited that was my reaction and I felt horrible immediately. That’s not me..MY APOLOGIES man hope you see this,” the Raiders receiver tweeted after the game.

The Week 5 win puts the Chiefs at 4-1 ahead of a clash against the Buffalo Bills. The Raiders’ start of the season has been woeful with 1 win in 5. They will meet the Houston Texans in game week 6.
