The NFL was eyeing an interesting Super Bowl this year. With Los Angeles Rams defeating Tom Brady and Cincinnati Bengals downing the sensational Patrick Mahomes, it became clear that the year 2022 had started on an interesting note. A veteran No. 1 pick, Matthew Stafford, went against a relatively younger No. 1 pick, Joe Burrow.

Judging by the form of Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady, it was safe to assume that they were on a streak for a third Super Bowl matchup. However, the uprising of Joe Burrow and Matthew Stafford put that on hold. The Los Angeles Rams were dominant throughout the playoffs, and the Bengals were equally mesmerizing.

Many assumed the Stafford led Rams to be a Super Bowl winning team, which became clear after they defeated the defending champions in the NFC Championship game. Stafford was clearly understated the entire season, however, it was the NBA legend Chris Webber, who did not give up on him.

Webber believed in the Rams and its veteran quarterback to be of Super Bowl caliber. The Fab Five member was very vocal about the team. He was even trolled on social media for his predictions on the Matthew Stafford led Los Angeles Rams to win the Super Bowl. However, it came to be true in the end.

The NBA Hall of Famer, during his appearance in The Rich Eisen Show revealed how much he takes pride in his prediction. “Matthew Stafford,” Webber said“All the people that called and hated on my Twitter account and Instagram because I said Matthew Stafford was gonna win and Aaron Donald was the best and Cooper Kupp. And everybody that you know, I just want to say, I told you so.”

The five-time NBA All-Star was apparently hyped on his on-point prediction, however, he did not make a noise after the Super Bowl, when it actually came true. When asked about the same, the NBA veteran replied that he was probably doing the same, what Aaron Donald did in his Super Bowl parade; take off the shirt and celebrate.
