This season has not been a memorable one for the Green Bay Packers. Their four-time NFL MVP winner QB, Aaron Rodgers, seemed a little distracted. Although, everything is not yet over. With the recent win of the Packers over the Baker Mayfield-led Rams (24-12), the hopes of playoff contention still live on. With so many close calls this season and stress surrounding the legendary QB, it seems Serge Ibaka, the professional basketball player for Milwaukee Bucks, went on the quest to bring back the winning drive of the Super Bowl-winning champion.

Ibaka on his YouTube Channel series ‘How hungry are you?’ in the final episode of season 5 visited Rodgers at Green Bay. There, he interviewed him and treated him to African cuisine. During the interview, he reminded Aaron Rodgers about the painful memory of his 2005 Draft day.

Aaron Rodgers couldn’t say much but laugh uncomfortably when Ibaka, a.k.a Maffuzzy chef, brought out the fact about the 49ers passing on the now four-time MVP at No 1. The chef didn’t stop there. He went on to ask Rodgers, “where you from?” embarrassingly reminding him how he couldn’t get Drafted to the team that was near where he grew up. His dream team, San Francisco 49ers. It was then A-Rod remembered his Draft day more vividly.

“Yeah, it was 22 teams that passed on me,” Rodgers nodded, possibly remembering one of the most pain-filled memories of his life. He went on to reveal how disappointed he was about the situation. He recalled sitting in front of the live TV for four hours in his oversized coat, hoping someone could come and take him from there. Thankfully, no one came, as Aaron Rodgers still had a long way to go and make a mark on and off the gridiron.

While speaking about Rodgers’ off-field accolades, Ibaka showed him pictures where A-rod made fashion statements. One amongst them was where he dawned a cowboy’s suit. He wore it at the 2018 annual Welcome Back Packers Luncheon.

While explaining the outlook, he disclosed that he wanted to wear something “silly” and had gotten that suit made for him. And as Ibaka was getting ready to wrap up part 1 of the video, Rodgers randomly added, “I Was a Cowboy in the last life so I’m just reminiscing on it.”

Did the Cowboys pay this season for passing over Rodgers in the 2005 Draft?

This season is far away from ideal for the Packers and Aaron Rodgers. They first lost their most valuable WR, Davante Adams, to Las Vegas Raiders. Second, at the start of the season, Rodgers was unable to find a rapport with the new players on his team. Despite the adversities, he faced this season, Rodgers-led Packers came up on the top when they locked horns with the Dallas Cowboys. The Packers defeated America’s Team 31 to 28. Although, it was not an easy feat for them. The Packers could only come on top and win the game at OT (overtime) with 3 points.

If one observes the respective teams’ overall standing, the Big D takes the lead with 10 wins and 4 losses and stands in second place in the NFC East. And whereas the Packers stand in third place in the NFC North with 6 wins and 8 losses. Given that it is the NFL- the most unpredictable game of all time, one can not make an easy prediction. At any moment, things can take a turn. As for Aaron Rodgers and the team, at least for now this season, they dominated the gridiron when they faced the Cowboys.
