Jordan Whitehead spoke to Pro Football Network, mentioning, “I’m a team player, but I was frustrated. I would come out on third down, sometimes. I just felt like I was making enough plays, and I was being a leader on the team. It just felt like I should have been in the game… I’m a team player, and it’s a team-first mentality, but I definitely was frustrated. I think anybody would be.”

Amidst his frustration and anger in Tampa Bay, Whitehead cites Todd Bowles, the team’s defensive coordinator who later became head coach, for assisting him to establish a culture of good information exchange in the secondary.

In 2022, how does the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ defense look?

Whitehead was a member of a youthful safety spin that included Antoine Winfield Jr. and Mike Edwards. Both of which have made big performances in reportage in recent seasons. For now, the Bucs have picked up a pair of seasoned veterans to their safety corps as Winfield and Edwards. In order to compensate for Whitehead’s departure, they have incorporated Logan Ryan and Keanu Neal.

This is the best strategy for the Buccaneers to continue to be successful under Todd Bowles’ leadership. Most importantly, the defensive end aids in the victory of championships.
