“I Whooped The Other Two”: 64-Year-Old Lady Had No Idea She Beat Stars From Pittsburgh Steelers At This Niche Sport

These star players from the Pittsburgh Steelers must be thinking they play for a team who has won the most Super Bowls. But, when they stepped onto the court to play a game of Pickleball. they were whooped by a 64-year-old lady. Yes, a grandmother who didn’t know she was challenging the Steelers players. Not only this, but she also gave them a hard day while playing the game.
A woman who was identified as Meg Burkardt, a lawyer from Lawrenceville, had messaged her daughter that she played a game of Pickleball with three boys, and suddenly everyone around wanted a picture of them. Meg wrote in the message, “Last game, the guy in the green shirt and I whooped the other two. Then everyone else there wanted to take our photo….”

The screenshot of the message was shared by Meg’s daughter on her Twitter handle with a caption, “My mom whooped some Steelers in pickleball today.” In the screenshot, there is a picture of three Steelers players T.J. Watt, Minkah Fitzpatrick, and Alex Highsmith posing with the lawyer Meg Burkardt.

Burkardt is a 64-year lady who has five children and one grandson. She had gone to practice a game of pickleball at North Park Courts, and she met these 3-boys who she did not know were NFL players. She saw one of them sitting on the bench and figured out that he didn’t have a paddle. Burkardt had an extra one, and that is how they got to play the game with her.

Burkardt, in an interview with Post-Gazette told, that this NFL season she will be paying more attention to the Steelers. While mentioning the game, she also said now she has a reason to watch the game.
