“I Would Whoop Eli”: Rob Gronkowski Asserts His Dominance Over 2x Super Bowl Champion Eli Manning After Retirement on This New Sport

Eli Manning is one of the few players to have a spotless record against the Patriots and Tom Brady. While he has won 2 Super Bowls against the Boston based outfit. In one of those, he stole a chance from Rob Gronkowski to become a 5 time Super Bowl champion. And even though Gronk can not avenge the loss on the grand stage, he has issued a warning for Manning. Vowing to give the quarterback no chance in the fast-growing sport of pickleball.
The retired tight end talked to ‘Today’ about his new ventures in order to support the No Kid Hungry campaign. The guest also discussed new hobbies to keep himself busy after his second retirement. The player gave a shout out to the rapidly growing sport of pickleball. When Eli’s name came up under the people who have switched to the sport, Gronk had one thing to say. “I would whoop Eli,” Gronk playfully added. “No chance.”

Gronkowski praised the sport and mentioned its instrumentality as a fun workout. “It’s an unbelievable workout, first off,” explained the former TE. “And you don’t even really notice the exercise that you’re getting and it’s just fun to do and anyone can do it at all ages, as well.” When suggestions for a charity match between Gronk and Manning to raise money were floated by the hosts, the 33-year-old was all game for it. “One hundred percent. I love that idea,” Gronk said. However, fans want the start tight end to come back to the league and help Tom Brady secure another Super Bowl.

The NFL icon came out of his retirement in 2020 to follow Tom Brady to the Buccaneers. And after winning another Super Bowl and dominating the league, Gronk hung his boots for the second time before the commencement of this NFL season.
Since then, speculations about a possible return have never really gone away. Especially with Brady and Bucs in dire need of a miracle to turn their fortunes around. But Gronk has other ideas. He is adhering to the motto of, “Second time you gotta stay retired.” Putting all the rumors to rest, he has made clear this time that a simple call from TB12 would not do the trick.
