“I Would’ve Whopped Will Smith’s A*s”: Shannon Sharpe Rips the Oscar Winner for Slapping Chris Rock on Stage

Will Smith has become the most talked-about person on this planet for the last 24 hours. We all know the reason why. The actor slapped the comedian Chris Rock live on stage during the Academy Awards. Many people were shocked and did not know how to react. The American sports analyst Shannon Sharpe had a lot to say about the incident. 

The NFL Hall of Famer completely lost it while addressing the situation on Undisputed last night. Sharpe held nothing back. He straight up said if it was him, he and Will Smith would have problems every time they saw each other.

A few minutes after Will Smith slapped Chris Rock, he won an Oscar. When Smith went back on stage, he apologized to the Academy. But the actor did not mention Rock’s name. Shannon Sharpe brought this topic up in the latest edition of Undisputed. And he was furious. Sharp did not appreciate the actions of Will Smith.

The NFL Hall of Famer was so angry that he said, “I would have whipped Will Smith’s a*s.” Sharp adds, “He would have to whip me or I would have to whip him. And every time I see him, it’s on-site.” Shannon did not appreciate how Smith just apologized to the Academy and not Chris Rock. “And then you Apologized to the Academy? F the Academy, you need to apologize to that man.”

According to the Sports Analyst, the comedian was just doing his job. Rock was just trying to make people laugh, and his joke was harmless. But the way Will Smith reacted was the ultimate sign of disrespect. The actor should have known better than to put his hands on another man live on stage.

When Chris Rock cracked the joke, the reception was mixed. Some say Will Smith even laughed before he marched down the aisle. Jada has a hair loss condition, and that is why she had to shave her head. Taking the opportunity, Rock just made the joke. 

Shannon Sharpe said, “I went to a comedy show one time with Martin Lawrence. Martin Lawrence said something about me, man. I was laughing. It was funny. But I get it. He’s a comedian.”  It is clear that Sharp believes Smith should have behaved professionally. He shouldn’t have thrown hands for a joke.
