Ric Flair is a big Aaron Rodgers fan. He wants the best for Green Bay QB. And this time around, while suggesting the next steps for the Packers, he brought up a name that everybody wants but no one would say it. Former Wide Reciever for the Bucs, Steelers, and New England, 7-time Pro Bowler Antonio Brown.

Well certainly, the wide receiver has not kept a clean profile off-field. But, the talent is undeniable as per multiple teams who continue to show interest in playing with Brown year after year. If not in the NFL, the Wide Reciever still manages to make headlines.

There are a lot of teams in the NFL who would benefit from adding Brown to their roster. He has been around long enough to just enter an offense and light it up. But is he still hungry enough to play for an NFL team?  Maybe that just depends on which team is asking.

Packers need a Secondary Target for  Aaron Rodgers

On his podcast, Woo Nation, WWE legend Ric Flair was talking with Mark Madden. They were discussing Rodgers and the Packers, and Madden suggested, “He (Rodgers) can stay there But they should probably provide him with a secondary target.”

To which Flair replies, “(Randall) Cobb can still play.” And Madden fires back saying, “but yeah, he’s more of a tertiary target.”

It is certainly an insane proposition. But it brings up the same question that has riddled the NFL community for a long time. Is performance a justification for anything that you do off-field?

The Antonio Brown Question

Antonio Brown is one of the most fascinating entities in modern sports. His off-the-field actions are unquestionably seriously questionable. And yet, his on-field actions continue to be at such a high level that multiple teams in recent history have found it way too tempting to pass on this controversial Wide receiver.

And to add to the puzzle, we can’t ignore that Antonio Brown was arguably on the best behavior in his last outing. Yes, it can be argued that he had hit rock bottom and there was only one way to go. But still, his exit from the Bucs was much different from his exits elsewhere.

It reiterates the doubts that loom large over his Hall of Fame selection. Well, he certainly has the numbers for it. He has the title and accolades for it. But will his off-field issues keep him out?

And will we see the explosive wide receiver back in action this season?
