“If I have J Cole & Kendrick Lamar!”: NFL Veteran Destroys Proposed Plan For Mac Jones’ & New England Patriots Super Bowl Bid After Tom Brady’s Spectacular Exit
Getting an all-star team is sometimes not good enough to win championships. So is the case with Patriots’ QB Mac Jones. NFL veteran Bucky Brooks remarked that even he could make a platinum-selling album if he gets J Cole or Kendrick Lamar in it. However, that does not mean he is a GOAT rapper. He wouldn’t have to do much since Cole and Lamar’s name would sell itself.
Similarly, he draws the analogy toward Mac Jones’ performance and his chances of winning the Super Bowl. There is no doubt that Bill Belichick is a legendary coach in the NFL. Moreover, his pair-up with Jones has made the quarterback a better player than he would have been otherwise. However, Jones is up for competition amongst some of the best QBs in the game who have won Super Bowls in the past.

In addition, the AFC East is packed with the best QBs in the game. Mac has a big task to beat the likes of Patrick Mahomes, Derek Carr, Russell Wilson, and many more. The rookie had an average season with the Patriots in 2021. However, Marcellus Wiley has big hopes for him and feels he can win the Super Bowl.
Further, it is not much work for the protagonist if he has everyone else doing the work for him. This is exactly what Brooks meant. Even if Bill assembles a team like the Avengers around Jones, it won’t make much of a difference. Jones wouldn’t resemble Ironman taking nuclear missiles into space. Instead, he will end up like the Hawkeye shooting arrows in vain.
Why does Bucky Brooks feel Mac Jones won’t win the Super Bowl?
Brooks is not fond of Jones’ competence to play against Super Bowl-winning QBs. He said, “He can’t do it, I’m looking at all the quarterbacks. Let’s just look at the QBs in the AFC because he has to get past AFC to get to the Super Bowl. Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, Russell Wilson, Derek Carr. “

He added, “That’s a lot of guys that Mac Jones has to outplay. I don’t know if he is better than any of those guys.” Mac Jones has not left an impression of his ability on the veteran, but time will tell if he can prove his critics wrong.
