“They said the Saints called…” – Mark Ingram narrates the story behind his return to the Saints
Mark Ingram straight up made a shocking revelation. He revealed that if it weren’t for the Saints, he wouldn’t have left Houston. Ingram later expressed his gratitude to the Texans for their transparency. He also revealed his brief chat with Coach Culley, where he thanked his former coach.
“They said the Saints called, and they inquired about me and that they want me, and they said that if it was any other team, this wouldn’t even be a discussion,” Ingram said. “But out of respect for me and what I’ve done throughout my career and just how I started here, that they wanted to give me the option to make a decision and just let me sleep on it,” he added.
