Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski were an unstoppable force for as long as the two played together for the New England Patriots. Now, with both of them playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beginning this season, we might get to relive the old times. However, even Chris Godwin seems to have welcomed Brady with open arms – the wide receiver kindly offered to switch to jersey number 14 for the quarterback. So, the question does arise…

Brady-Gronk or Brady-Godwin?

ESPN’s Mina Kimes believes that we will be seeing a different Gronkowski and Brady this season. “I remember Gronk’s last season… Just him being healthy means he’s going to be a different player. But he’s also going to benefit from focus being pulled off of him,” Kimes said on First Take.

She further added that Bruce Arians has said that the team will be using two tight end sets this year – Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, Rob Gronkowski, and O. J. Howard. “When you have that many talented players on the field… Those guys are gonna be open.

Mina further said that she thinks Bucs’ offense is going to be very dominant. “I think Gronkowski is going to look a lot better than he did his final season.

So, irrespective of the combos, the Bucs’ are certainly going to put up a great show this season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers return to their facility

The Bucs’ training facility was reopened to employees last week. Coaches too were back on June 5, but players won’t return till training camp begins in July. Head coach, Bruce Arians, however, said that he hopes the League allows that to happen sooner. He also said that he doubts any fans will be allowed to see practices at the facility this year.

Scott Reynolds of Pewter Report said, further, that camp might not begin when Arians suggested it would. He added that even during the regular season, things might be different. Locker rooms interactions may not be permitted and interviews may be limited to press conferences only to ensure everyone’s health and safety is preserved.

The Bucs’ desperately want to recover from their 7-9 record in 2019 and with such great talent on board, it doesn’t seem very difficult now.
