Since Aaron Rodgers came out of his ‘darkness retreat’, many teams have reached out to the Packers for a potential trade option. As per previous reports, the Jets are the top favorite to land Rodgers if he decides to play in the 2023 season. Meanwhile, Jets’ cornerback and NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Year, Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner, is trying to lure the 4-time MVP in their team through a hilarious post on social media.

Notably, Gardner caught the attention of many when he visited Lambeau Field last time. He was wearing a cheesehead while leaving the field and then Packers’ wide receiver Allen Lazard came out of nowhere and knocked the cheesehead off Gardner’s head. After seeing the trade rumors surrounding Rodgers, it seems like Gardner also wanted to have some fun with it, as he posted about it.

Earlier, the young CB took to Twitter and posted, “Aye @AaronRodgers12 I promise if you become a Jet, I won’t pick you off in practice & I’ll burn the cheesehead.“

Certainly, the Packers fans won’t appreciate his comments about burning the cheesehead. On the other hand, he made this unique proposition to Rodgers about not intercepting him in the practice sessions in case the QB decides to join the Jets. Not only Gardner, but Jets’ running back, Breece Hall, also joined the fun, as he also took to Twitter and posted some tweets about Rodgers potentially joining the Jets.

In that podcast, he talked about trying to make peace with his family, then contemplating some childhood trauma and many more. However, he did not disclose any information about his footballing future. On the other hand, the Jets have received permission to talk to Rodgers directly. It will be interesting to see if the New York team can persuade Rodgers to play a few more years in the NFL. Certainly, it will make them one of the top contenders in the AFC and possibly for the Super Bowl as well.
