The Dallas Cowboys started this season off with a bang. They defeated the New York Giants by a massive 40-0 and the New York Jets by 30-10. But the Miami Dolphins are not behind either, defeating both the Los Angeles Chargers and New England Patriots. Their latest games were a thrill to watch, and Parsons and Hill both had brought their A-game. Now the two have challenged each other, building hype for the Christmas Eve showdown.

Both have something to prove. Tyreek was surely affected by the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl, just after he had left them. And Parsons wants to help the Cowboys win the Super Bowl after 28 years.

In a recent interview with Pat McAfee of The Pat McAfee Show, they revisited the Cowboys match against the Jets. In the game, after the ball had been snapped, breaking through the line of players, he fell to the ground. But he did not stay there. Moving on all fours, he emerged out of the mass of players roaring. McAfee jokingly asked him, “You’ve been working on that?” To which Parsons replied in the affirmative, “I’m a possessed lion.”.

It was not for nothing that the Linebacker-transitioning-to-Defensive-End won the Defensive Rookie of the Year Award in 2021. And he’s definitely making a case for Defensive Player of this year as well. The sacks and takeaways keep flowing for the Dallas Cowboys defense, led by Parsons. They are the first team since the 1970s to lead in turnovers forced for two years in a row.

However, bigger matches are up ahead, especially the Christmas Eve showdown between the Cowboys and the Dolphins. Actually, it would be more accurate to call it a Cheetah vs. Lion showdown. Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill and Micah Parsons keep taking jabs at each other on social media. It must be said, however, that it is mostly Tyreek who stirs the hornet’s nest, but Parsons never shies away from creating a bit of entertainment for NFL fans either.

The Cheetah vs. Lion showdown

Dolphins star WR Tyreek Hill in his game against the New England Patriots did an excellent job sealing off the edge on a run from RB Raheem Mostert. Tyreek reacted to a video of the same on X (formerly, Twitter) with the caption, “This how ima do Micah and Chris Jones I’m too much on that edge 😌”.

If that was not enough, he told Bleacher Report that considering the way he’s playing, maybe he is a lion and not a cheetah. For the uninitiated, Tyreek calls himself a cheetah because of his incredible speed on the field. Parsons, who calls himself a lion, took a jab at this statement and asked Hill to stay a cheetah and if he were to be a lion, he would just be a lion cub. The two had had another exchange when Parsons posted a picture of him training with 11-season NFL player Andy Whitworth.

Not just Cowboys and Dolphins fans, but anyone who’s been following the Cheetah-Lion saga is waiting anxiously for the Christmas Eve showdown. Who do you think will come out on top?
