Jon Gruden spent almost 15 seasons in the league switching from one team to another. He decorated various executive posts in various franchises. He was charged with sending malicious emails and use of foul language that harmed specific sections of society. The Wall street journal released some of those emails, and eventually, Gruden lost his job.

“I’m ashamed about what has come about in these emails, and I’ll make no excuses for it,” Gruden said at the Little Rock Touchdown Club, portraying himself as a true gentleman. He also vowed to be happily married for 31 years and goes to church more often.

“It’s shameful. But, I am a good person. I believe that. I go to church. I’ve been married for 31 years. I’ve got three great boys. I still love football. I’ve made some mistakes. But I don’t think anybody in here hasn’t. And I just ask for forgiveness and, hopefully, I get another shot.” He added.

After resigning from his position, Gruden filed a lawsuit against the league for isolating him. Per reports, around 650,000 emails were collected, which certainly hampered his future in the NFL. In 2018, he signed a 10-year, $100 million with the Raiders.
