However, destiny did not hand-fed her the opportunity as a top runway star. Bündchen reminisced upon her humble roots in the town of Horizontina in Southern Brazil.

During an interview with Charlie Rose, Gisele Bündchen talks about her new photo book. She also discussed her marriage to Tom Brady and her new emphasis on environmental and children’s initiatives. She also discussed her heritage in southern Brazil and talked about her family background.

Gisele Bündchen mentioned, “I’m from a village of 10,000 people in the south of Brazil. If you go see my CD, I mean there’s not even a traffic light. There’s like sometimes you see like cow cars in the street. I really came from a small town and middle-class family. My mom worked in the bank. My father worked in real estate first, and then he became, he’s a sociologist. So he wrote a lot of books. He was very interested in the study of human nature and people in society and all that stuff. So, philosophy as well. He wrote like two books about knowing thyself.”

Gisele Bündchen is from Horizontina, a municipality in the southern Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul. The model was born and lived with her five sisters until she was 15. She then moved to São Paulo and NYC to ignite her gigantic career.
