The former Patriots WR1 Jakobi Meyers now has a new place to light up. He is going to the Las Vegas Raiders from the free agency. He has got a three-year deal from Josh McDaniels’ outfit worth around $33 million.

After this deal by the Raiders, the Patriots have to bring someone to fill the void at WR1 and the fans have made it perfectly clear that they want Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. Here are some fan reactions.

The new Cardinals head coach Johnathan Gannon has already indicated that Hopkins might be on his way out. Although, the Cardinals want hefty compensation in the event of a trade. But will the Patriots make a move for the explosive option as a pass catcher after their struggles last season?

The Hopkins conundrum

DeAndre Hopkins is an established option as a wide receiver in the NFL. Je is among the elites at his position although his recent struggles with injuries might have marred some of the trade prospects. On top of that, the Cardinals are holding out for hefty compensation from any franchise which wants to sign him.

The Patriots need a wide receiver after their offensive struggles last season. Some strange plays coupled with some strange decisions meant that Bill Belichick’s side missed out on the playoffs again. And Hopkins might be the answer to all the woes.

So, the five-time All-Pro will change teams this off-season. Whether it will be the Patriots is another question altogether.
