The three-time super bowl champion is not having a good time with social media lately. Everything started with him parting ways with Fox Sports show The Undisputed, where he had been a host for over half a decade alongside Skip Bayless, after reaching a buyout agreement with the network. On the final day of his appearance on the show, he bid a teary farewell to his colleague Bayless.

When it got out, some were quick to notice the meme potential in the emotional moment and teased the former NFL star. One of those memes reached Sharpe himself, who took it in good humor, laughed it off, and playfully asked to leave him alone. However, another one popped up with the same meme format but a different moment from the show, and this time he was not impressed.

Sharpe is done with social media

The viral meme that pushed him over the edge was the recreation of the popular meme captioned ‘When you promised her rounds and only delivered ROUND’,  using raspy words from his emotional farewell. Another user went a step ahead to create another meme, posting a clip of the former Broncos star in a serious verbal outflow captioning it as  “Him trying to explain why he can’t go for a second round”.

Sharpe responded to the meme by saying he was done with all the roasting. He wrote, “I’m leaving social media. Y’all stay bothering me”.

It probably was Sharpe’s initial reactions to the jabs indicating that he no longer wanted it. However, netizens picked up the joke leading to interesting reactions.

The fans were losing it

Most of the users found the meme genuinely funny. Many did not take his ‘departure’ seriously and kept the fun going under the comments section of Sharpe’s post with playful banter.

“You make it too easy for the internet with your reactions and quotes. Never change Unc”, a user playfully teased Sharpe.

“You got too much content out there King,” a user reminded him referencing the numerous viral reactions and funny memes he has inspired in the past.

Another comment read, “lmao cmon unc, we just f****g with you.”

“Unc don’t do it. They just playing,” wrote another user.

“Gotta love unk lol. a walking meme,” said another user.

Another fan explained the love behind the memes,  “It’s all love unc trust me if we didn’t like you we leave you alone.”

Indeed ‘unc’ did not actually leave. Adding another viral moment to his extensive collection.
