With the Pro Bowl rosters are out Commanders head coach Ron Rivera broke the news to those who were selected. The reactions of the players had fans misty-eyed.

When the selected players approached him, the coach pretended to have bad news for them. By placing his hand on his head and looking down, Rivera looked like he was about to deliver bad news. Jeremy Reaves’ road to the top was not a smooth ride

Ron Rivera may not receive the Oscar Award for Best Actor but he deserves to be ‘Coach of the Year’ because of the way he broke the news to his players. Terry McLaurin, Jonathan Allen, and Tress Way were given the good news of their selection first. The players shook hands with their coach, looking around with a mix of ecstasy and disbelief. But it was Jeremy Reaves’ reaction that had fans bawling.

Reaves’ rise to the status of a Pro Bowler was quite the uphill battle. Former Commanders offensive lineman Ross Tucker tweeted the special teamer’s professional history that caused a whole thread of stunned reactions.

After going undrafted, exiting the Eagles squad, and awaiting his turn while on the Commanders’ practice squad, Reaves made it to the team’s main roster this season. Moments like these are special and an example of how the sport brings out emotion like no other.
