“I’m Not Gonna Roll Over and Die”: NFL Analyst Throws Shade at Tom Brady Over New Broadcasting Career With Dire Warning

Tom Brady is arguably the best player in NFL history. And after drawing curtains on his long and illustrious career as an NFL quarterback, Brady is all set to join the sports broadcasting industry next year. But it ain’t going to be an easy ride for him in the booth. An NFL analyst has thrown shade at Brady for his post-retirement career with a dire warning.
Greg Olsen played for nearly a decade and a half in the NFL as a tight end. And he made his debut as the lead color commentator during FOX Sports’ Super Bowl LVII broadcast, a job Brady is expected to take next season.

Greg Olsen is not going to roll over as Tom Brady steps into the broadcasting booth. Speaking at a Lending Tree event in honor of February’s Heart Month in Charlotte, Olsen fired a warning at the seven-time Super Bowl champion.
“I’m not gonna roll over and die. “I’m willing to do what these guys aren’t willing to do,” Olsen said during the Q&A session at the event.

The former tight end said that he is going to do his job until the broadcaster asks him to go. He also clarified that he has all the respect for Brady and understands the rules of the game.
“Until they kick me out, I’m gonna sit there and do it. Maybe he [Brady] does come and take my job one day; I can live with that; I get it. I understand the rules that we all sign up for,” Olsen added.

The former Carolina Panthers TE made his Super Bowl debut as a broadcaster at the recently concluded Super Bowl LVII. He held up the Fox booth as the Kansas City Chiefs lifted the Vince Lombardi trophy at State Farm Stadium just a week ago. But Fox has already lined up a massive contract for Brady to do the same job next year.
The massive Fox deal
Tom Brady signed a massive deal with Fox to become an NFL analyst for the broadcaster last year. The 10-year deal is worth a whopping $375 million. The QB signed the deal at the end of the 2021 season when he announced his retirement from the league for the first time. He then came out of retirement and played another season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, taking them to yet another postseason.

Brady retired again at the end of the 2022 season after the Buccaneers crashed out of the playoffs. But he might not take up the Fox deal until next year. So, Olsen has his job, at least for now. Will Brady make a good analyst in the booth?
