As reported before, Sanchez underwent surgery two weeks ago. Medical reports indicated that he will need at least the rest of the season to recuperate and return to full fitness. But the 26-year old featured on Sunday in the Week 15 clash against the Houston Texans at the Lucas Oil Stadium.

The California-born athlete last played in the 26-45 loss to the Tennessee Titans. He was fully aware back then of his medical condition but insisted on playing in order to be there for his teammates. He truly pulled off a miraculous return this weekend and could very well be one of the comeback stories of the season.

The Colts are fighting for the AFC South Division title. A win against the Texans on Sunday will certainly help them put pressure on the Titans. Head coach Frank Reich will be proud of the sportsman’s spirit displayed by Sanchez. Hopefully, that can spur the Colts to a much-needed win today.
