As the new season is approaching, the athletes are working hard to give their absolute best in the games. Being physically fit is the most crucial. The injury bug hits many athletes. Due to this, their teams face tremendous losses. This is reminiscent of what happened to the running back of Carolina Panthers, Christian McCaffrey. However, the RB feels better and is ready to take over the game.

It was announced on July 26th on Twitter. “I feel the best I’ve ever felt.” says the 26-year-old athlete, who had an unimpressive season in 2021 because of succumbing to various injuries. This, in turn, affected his statistics greatly.

The problems Christian McCaffrey faced in 2021

It was a well-known fact that the previous season of the NFL was not the most amazing for the star RB. McCaffrey, when healthy, is one of the best at his position. However, owing to a thigh hamstring strain, he missed five games before rolling his ankle in November. The Panthers’ no. 22 was placed on injured reserve. This resulted in him being left out for the season. Carolina started strong but ended up finishing with a 5-12 record. McCaffrey could only play seven games out of 17.

In the season before 2021, McCaffrey suffered a high ankle sprain, an injury on his shoulder, and then an injury on his thigh, which resulted in him missing out on fourteen games in total.

The offensive star finished 2021 with 99 rushes for 442 yards, a touchdown, and 37 receptions for 343 yards and a touchdown in seven games. The team faced major problems related to the quarterback and across the offensive line.

Given all of that, there are lingering concerns over the player. Questions like, Can the athlete perform well? Will he be susceptible to injuries this season as well? What the future holds for Christian McCaffrey? Are vague now. However, through rehab, he optimized his speed and agility, and now he looks more athletic than ever.
