During the on-field interview, a reporter asked Mahomes about the Chiefs’ incredible run in November and December, as they won 26 consecutive games. In reply, Mahomes said, “It’s game like this. It’s not always going to be great for offense and defense steps up. Special teams make plays when they need to.“
“It’s a team game. Coach Reid preaches that our team gets better and better as year goes on,” Mahomes further stated. Notably, the win against the Rams was their 9th win of the season and 5th consecutive.
