After this incident, the NFL warned other teams against faking injuries. Also, they handed out a memo to every team and made some rule changes regarding deliberate actions to delay the game; otherwise known as fake injuries.

According to the latest memo, the NFL will review the medical records of the suspected player faking an injury and they will interview everyone involved, from the coach to the player. If found guilty, the club has to pay a minimum of $350,000 fine. Then the head coach will pay a minimum fine of $100,000, $50,000 for each assistant coach; in the end, the player responsible for it will have to pay also $50,000 as a minimum fine.

Despite that, his team failed to win the game against the Bengals. Notably, this was just their 3rd loss of the season. With 9 wins, they are the favorites to come out on top in the AFC West division. It will be interesting to see if they get the overall no.1 seed in the AFC, which will be beneficial for them, as they will get a bye in the first round of the playoffs. Next Sunday, the Chiefs will play the Broncos in another road game.
