Roderic’s ban will come as a definite setback to the Chargers. The opening four games of the season are crucial for the team’s overall performance in the league.

Roderic Teamer had a productive season with the Chargers last time out in the league. The Tulane-college graduate ended his rookie year with a total of 40 tackles, one tackle-for-loss, and one sack. He also registered two pass breakups and the first interception of his NFL career.

Heading into the 2020 season, Roderic was tipped to push for a starting backup safety spot behind James. The rookie Alohi Gilman will now be the backup safety on the Chargers roster, at least for the first four games of the season.
