Aaron Rodgers will be adding a new name to his list of critics. Sean Payton, the former head coach of the New Orleans Saints, is now sharing his two cents about the quarterback. Following a Week 1 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, Sean Payton questions the QB’s way of handling the Rookies.

The former head coach turned NFL analyst with Fox, appeared on the ‘NFL Rhodes Show.’ When Lindsay Rhodes brought up the name of the Green Bay quarterback and his harsh treatment of rookies, Sean Payton expressed his displeasure with the player’s comment. Payton said, “It drives me crazy.”

Sean Payton called out Rodgers for his poor performance. The former New Orleans Saints coach felt the quarterback himself did not play well. Aaron Rodgers threw for 195 yards and 1 interception. Not connecting with anyone for a single touchdown. It was definitely not an impressive performance from the player. It wasn’t the offense alone, however, as even the defense failed to put up any resistance to the opposition. In a match where both sides failed, it is understandably unfair to name-call the rookies.

“After the game we go to the interview in the locker room and the very first question posed to Aaron was about bouncing back and he referenced the first play of the game, the dropped pass from a rookie. And I thought, come on, I like Aaron Rodgers, but I didn’t like what I saw,” added Payton

Their new look receiving corp now consists of rookies and rather inexperienced players. The team didn’t look great in their first game. Many plays were ineffective, where mistakes were seen repeatedly. Aaron Rodgers did not shy away from calling out the rookies after the match.

Recently, the list of Aaron Rodgers critics has seen an enormous increase in number. The media wasn’t pleased with how the player handled his contract negotiation. Now he has earned the attention of Sean Payton as well.
