Filling in the shoes of a former MVP and Super Bowl champion is not easy, but Jordan Love did so with no hesitation. After Green Bay Packers’ veteran starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers stepped out of the game due to an injury, Love took over.

Despite the immense pressure on his shoulders, the 24-year-old did not balk against Philadelphia. The QB made an impact after stepping onto the field. Although the Packers lost 40-33 against the Eagles, Love’s persistence on the field was very evident.

He said, “I think it [the play] just gave us – especially me, it gave me some confidence that we were moving the ball. That was a huge one. We needed to convert that. The situation, we had to go score. It was huge, kind of a drive-starter for us.” Time was not on the Packers’ side. With the minutes ticking by, Love could not be his team’s knight in shining armor. “The mind-set for me was, ‘Let’s go win the game. Let’s go do whatever we have to do,’ It feels good to be in a situation like that where it’s high stakes,” he added.
