Tom Brady and the Buccaneers crashed out of the 2022 postseason playoff action after their 31-14 loss to the Dallas Cowboys last week. And Brady fans didn’t like what they saw in, possibly, Tampa Tom’s last press conference for the crimson pirates. Buffalo Bills signal-caller Josh Allen kind of choked up when he saw it.

The Bills’ QB has grown up watching G.O.A.T. Brady. Frankly, no one wants the seven-time Super Bowl champion to hang up his cleats. Despite the irate fans screaming about retirement after every disappointing result, nothing would please them more than that eighth ring for Brady. However, Josh Allen isn’t so sure anymore.

Tom Brady crafted an emotional message for the fans, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers franchise, and the media personnel in his last goodbye for the 2022 season. However, many feel it was a goodbye for good. After coming out of retirement last year, only 40 days post his initial announcement, Brady may not have the same zeal this year. Especially after the professional and personal storm he’s been through this year.

Josh appeared on Kyle Brandt’s Basement podcast last week to discuss his upcoming bout with Joe Burrow and the Bengals. However, Brady’s topic came up. And Allen doesn’t want to see his idol leave.

When it happened last year, and he retired, I told people I’ll believe it when he’s not playing the first game. But, the way that he talked in his press conference last night, it seemed a little too sentimental for my liking in terms of holding onto the belief that he’s going to continue to play. But we’ll see. It’s up to him and the people in his life around him, and how he’s going to take that decision into his own hands, but I know there’s gonna be teams calling,” Allen said.

Tom Brady still has it in him, according to Josh

Brady finished the 2022 season third in passing yards in the league (4694) and led the league in percentage completions. However, his 25 touchdowns fall short of his usual 40+ TD years. But Josh thinks Brady is still better than most of the QBs in the league.

There’s a part of Josh that believes Brady will be back on-field next year. Even if it is for a new franchise. The Raiders, Dolphins, and 49ers have all expressed their interest in getting the 45-year-old. “I think, physically, he’s still one of the better quarterbacks of the league,” Allen said.
