Amidst secret and not-so-secret rumors and discussions, Russel Wilson left the Seattle Seahawks in March last year to join with Denver Broncos, marking the end of a decade-long companionship. While some foresaw the split due to the simmering tensions between Wilson and Seahawks, some struggled to stomach the loss of a cherished member of the Seahawks. Even a year down the line, discussions surrounding the split and the impacts it left on both teams continue to linger. Many Seahawks were dejected at the exit considering the Pro Bowler had been the saving grace of the team for nearly a decade, consistently pushing the team to success.

A vocal faction of the Seahawks’ fandom extended their support for Russel’s decision to take a leap he found fitting in his career as a quarterback. Joe McHale, Spider-Man 2 actor and an ardent Seahawks fan is one among such.

The Broncos were in search of a quarterback at the time since the retirement of Peyton Manning and found the missing piece of the puzzle in the form of the Super Bowl Player.
