QB Russell Wilson was once again dominating headlines by iterating his desire to stay and win Super Bowls in Seattle. The 2013 Super Bowl champion through his agent, Mark Rodgers, did release a stunning statement last year to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. His agent did reveal, on the record, that Wilson could waive his no-trade clause for the Raiders, Bears, Cowboys, or Saints. He did share Wilson’s desire to stay in Seattle but was unhappy with lacking more say on roster changes.

The team did struggle to cope without him due to the finger injury, which he suffered in Week 5. The fact that they missed him for three games and weren’t any better when he returned signals need for change.

This version of Russell Wilson doesn’t move like the one who did when they won the Vince Lombardi. Interestingly, Wilson flopped in key moments during their Week 15 loss to the Rams, which sealed their fate for 2021. The coming months will surely bring lots of rumbles around the NFL and Seattle might just be the epicenter of it all.
